The Commercial Board of REALTORS® is the commercial overlay board which provides leadership, services, education, and professional standards to commercial real estate practitioners in Michigan. Membership is comprised from all regions within the State of Michigan. A statewide database of commercial properties (CPIX.net), commercial continuing education, local and statewide networking sessions, grievance and standards committees, commercial forms, and a unified voice relative to legislative issues for the commercial REALTOR® are some of the many benefits of membership.
What is a REALTOR®? If you have a real estate license you are not automatically a REALTOR®. A REALTOR® pays annual dues to the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS®, MICHIGAN REALTORS®, and a local association, such as CBOR. REALTORS® also adhere to a Code of Ethics that is over and above the state licensing rules. Only a REALTOR® in good standing is allowed to use the term REALTOR® when referencing themselves or their company, otherwise, you are just a “real estate licensee”.
