CBOR Renews CPIX.net Contract through 2023 with Long-Term Technology Vendor, Catylist, Inc and Expands Services Geographically to Include Illinois

Grand Blanc, Michigan, September 28, 2020.  The Commercial Board of REALTORS® – Michigan (CBOR) is pleased to announce that a 3-year renewal contract with Catylist, Inc. has been finalized for CPIX.net, its multi-state regional Commercial Property Information Exchange (CIE).  The agreement extends the current relationship through 2023.  CPIX was launched in 2003.

CBOR, with 700 members, provides Michigan’s commercial real estate practitioners with industry-related professional services and benefits.  One of CBOR’s greatest member benefits is CPIX.net, a commercial listing service that extends throughout Michigan, Indiana and now Illinois.  CPIX is governed and operated by the CBOR Board of Directors, and offers a regional, national, and fully public interface.

CPIX averages 20,000+ commercial properties available for sale or lease and is expected to grow substantially with the expansion into Illinois through a merger with NICAR, the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of REALTORS®.  CPIX has focused on increasing membership and presence in Indiana during the last three years and based on the new partnership with NICAR, CPIX will become one of the largest multi-state regional exchanges in North America.

Catylist Inc. develops commercial real estate technology and tools for commercial real estate associations.   The Catylist business model promotes preserving the local market presence by allowing the association to determine the rules and pricing based on local market needs and long-term goals.  CPIX member listings are automatically syndicated to Catylist’s national public marketplace, CommercialExchange.com, which provides the necessary exposure that commercial real estate professionals need locally and nationally.  CPIX Members are also able to search national Catylist listings.Nancy Allen, Chief Executive Officer of CBOR and CPIX Executive Director, said, “Local governance by those that use and subscribe to CPIX has ultimately been the foundation of its success.  Owning the data and being in control locally allows for flexibility to adapt to changing technology demands and trends throughout the tri-state region.”

CPIX.net is available to the general public allowing anyone to search and market commercial properties for free.  CPIX Membership upgrades are available to real estate licensees, appraisers, and economic development professionals.  Membership in CPIX also auto-syndicates property data to Catylist’s public national marketplace, CommercialExchange.com, and a long list of economic development organizations, including the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
