GM plans new $65 million parts warehouse in Burton
General Motors Co. plans to expand its parts and processing operations in mid-Michigan with a $65 million warehouse.
The new site, the Detroit-based automaker said Tuesday, will replace one for GM’s Customer Care and Aftersales division that the company leases in Burton, near Flint. The new warehouse will be more than 1 million square feet — nearly one and a half times larger than the current operations — in the same city.
“We now have room to grow, and a great opportunity to serve our customers even better,” Lisa Veneziano, GM’s executive director of global aftersales supply chain warehousing and logistics, said in a statement.
